Energy Superhub Oxford (ESO) partners, Oxford City Council and Pivot Power, were hugely honoured to receive a special recognition award for Energy Strategy at the EVIES, a prestigious electric vehicle (EV) industry award which aims to shine a light on innovation and excellence in this fast-growing sector.
A virtual awards ceremony was held to celebrate the achievements of companies and organisations from across the space, who are all working to accelerate an electric future and the road to zero.
Maria Connolly, Head of Clean Energy & Real Estate at category sponsor TLT presented the award, commenting βThis is a really exciting project which will look to provide a model for cities around the world to cut carbon and improve air quality.β
ESO is creating a powerful charging network across Oxford to help businesses and drivers go electric. An EV public superhub at Redbridge Park & Ride will provide 50+ charge points catering for a range of vehicles and speeds, so that visitors can charge in minutes or while they work or shop in the city. The network has the capacity to expand with EV adoption and provide power for local businesses seeking to electrify their fleets, from logistics companies to bus operators.
