Pivot Power, part of EDF Renewables, won the Innovation Award for Energy Superhub Oxford at the prestigious British Renewable Energy Awards.
Hosted by the REA, the awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of companies, and individuals, who’ve done something amazing in renewables or clean tech over the past year.
Energy Superhub Oxford is showcasing rapid EV charging, battery storage, low carbon heating, and smart energy management. The aim is to create a model for cities across the UK to cut carbon and improve air quality.
Commenting on the project, the judges said: “There are so many aspects of the Superhub that are innovative. Their syntheses of different complementary technologies around a regional setting could provide a real blueprint for realising export potential.”
Matt Allen, Pivot Power CEO, added: “We’re honoured to be recognised for this prestigious award – especially with the incredible competition we were up against. The bar continues to get raised as we race towards a net zero future!”
