In November the Government announced its Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution, including a target to install 600,000 heat pumps every year by 2028.
Here in Oxford, Energy Superhub Oxford (ESO) is at the front line of efforts to decarbonise heating. Project partner Kensa Contracting is working with Stonewater Housing to equip 60 properties in Blackbird Leys with innovative ground source heat pumps, which are combined with smart technologies to provide residents with low cost, low carbon heating all year round. Over the course of the project Kensa Contracting aims to install the technology at 300 properties in and around the city.
BBC Business Editor Simon Jack spoke to residents of Blackbird Leys to learn how ESO is helping change how we heat our homes forever.
